What is a Taxpayer?

A taxpayer is the most important person ever in my office…in person, on the telephone, via e-mail or by mail.

A taxpayer is not dependent on me…I am dependent on the taxpayer.

A taxpayer is not an interruption of my work; he or she is the purpose of it. I am not doing the taxpayer a favor by serving him or her. They are doing me a favor by giving me the opportunity to serve.

A taxpayer is not someone to argue or match wits with. Nobody ever won an argument with a taxpayer.

A taxpayer is a person who brings me their wants, and it is my job to handle the problem
